I just found this comic yesterday and have to say I find it quite intriguing.  It seems my desire to follow the trans webcomics has increased recently, likely in part due to my increased desire to write my own comics (but not draw them, as you can tell by reading my previous comic--which I actually want to get back to).

The gag comics in the beginning were good, and the "No more trouble" one was haunting and poignant, but I like how, like Venus Envy, the strip moved from gags to a story.  Plus, I like the fantasy element in there, lurking under the surface and ready to pop out at any time.  But maybe that's in part because I am trying to write superhero comics, and so it is interesting to see any depiction of a trans person with some sort of super power.

As might be apparent by my interests, I am trans (MTF, pre-hormones).  Currently, I live in Redding, California, however, which is not a good place to be anything that Rush Limbaugh decries (Sarah Palin spoke at the convention center last week and was warmly welcomed).  I grew up here, but got my BA in Humboldt County, though it's been no good at getting me a job.  I just feel this information is relevant to anybody who wants to understand where I'm coming from when I post.

Hi Shasta  Kitty Namor

Oh ya, Redding...  bait, gas, road food, Palin & Limbaugh.  Okay, so there's gotta be SOME cool things going on there, but I can't imagine trans-tolerance is one of them, even if you're a pickup-driving, Skoal-chewing, hardcore country type MTF.  heh

Anyway, welcome!  Evelyn's comic rocks.

Pickup?  More like Hummer.  Well, not recently, but people used to drive them to the grocery store.  It's like the environment is a non-issue here.

Well, actually, there has been curb-side recycling here for many years longer than Humboldt has, and also the same for green waste disposal.

Redding is getting better, though it is still near Red Bluff (which is redneck central) and Happy Valley (the Redding/Anderson/Cottonwood intersection, which is hick central).

It is getting better.  I'm a part of NorCal OUTreach Project, which is planning Redding's second Pride, as well as a gay prom.  And just last month, San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus and Avenue Q performed in nearly consecutive weeks here.  None of that stuff would have been possible two years ago, I would think.

My aunt and mom live in Redding.  I visit there sometimes.  It's a nice city.
